Current Openings: Tax Professional, Staff Auditor

  • Seeking experienced Tax Professional:

     The position’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

    • Review various tax returns - individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns and make recommendations and decisions to address client needs
    • Prepare complex federal, state and estate tax returns
    • Supervise and manage large tax engagements
    • Assist in the development and training of new staff
    • Assist in business development by meeting with potential clients
    • Conduct tax research and provide effective solutions for management
    • Supervise and provide assistance to tax staff
    • Prepare quality tax planning advice and practical approaches to client’s particular tax needs and situations
    • Maintain and develop business relationships with our clients
    • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed

      Qualifications and work experience required:

      • Minimum of 3 – 4 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
      • CPA certification required.
      • JD, LLM or advanced degrees preferred but not required
      • Strong oral and written communication skills a must.
      • Excellent organizations/analytical skills.
      • Organized and flexible – ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlines
      • Experience with research tools (RIA, CCH, etc.) and ProSystems FX software preferred
      • Available to work evenings or weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) as needed to meet deadlines
  • Seeking Staff Auditor:

     The staff auditor's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Preparation of audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements
    • Trial balance and lead sheet setup
    • Creating, updating and analyzing schedules and spreadsheets
    • Verification of accuracy of client accounting records
    • Updating financials
    • Interacting with client personnel and
    • Gaining an understanding of our client's businesses
    • Preparation of corporate and individual tax returns

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience
      • GPA of 2.5 or higher
      • CPA certification or plan to complete certification
      • Proficient with Word & Excel
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Demonstrated leadership abilities
      • Willingness to work with others and take directions
      • Ability to format documents and spreadsheets effectively and efficiently
      • Willingness and ability to learn and use new software applications as required
      • Avaiable to work evenings or weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) as needed to meet deadlines
