Life Expectancy Tables

Want to know how long you should plan for? These Life Expectancy Tables provided by the IRS will give you a good idea of how long you can expect to be around.

The tables are also used to figure your required minimum distributions from an individual retirement arrangement or other retirement plan. Table I is for use by beneficiaries. Table III is for use by owners who do not have spouses more than 10 years younger.

Table II is for use by owners with spouses who are over 10 years younger. To use Table II, locate one spouse's age on the vertical axis and the other spouse's age on the horizontal axis. The intersection of the two ages is the joint life and survivor expectancy number for those two ages.
