Michelle has more than 10 years of audit, forensic, and business valuation experience. Michelle has worked with both large public and small private companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, retail, government and not-for-profit. Michelle also provides litigation support and business valuation services in corporate dispute and family law cases.

Michelle was born and raised in Fresno, California, attended the University of California - Santa Barbara, and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Business Economics - Emphasis in Accounting.  Prior to joining Stoughton Davidson in 2009, Michelle was employed as an Audit Manager by an international accounting firm in San Francisco. Michelle received her CPA license in March 2006.

Michelle belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accounts (CalCPA). Michelle is also a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and has been awarded the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). This designation is awarded to select members of NACVA who have completed a specified curriculum of study of professional business valuation techniques, concepts and procedures, and has successfully completed an examination of those standards.  Michelle is also a member of Central Valley Collaborative Law Affiliates, which is a family law group limited to legal, financial, and mental health professionals who have completed the requisite collaborative and mediation training.

Michelle is the former Chair of the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee for the Fresno Chapter of CalCPA, and is an active member of the Forensic Services Section of CalCPA. Additionally, Michelle is a member of the Audit Committee for the United Way of Fresno County.
