David K. Shum, CPA
Mr. Shum is the founding partner of Shum & Associates. He began studying accounting in high school and was the recipient of the Benjamin N. Cardozo High School Business Education Accounting Award. He graduated from Pace University with a BBA in Accounting. He has worked in both private and public accounting for over 20 years.

Melissa Chau, CPA, MBA
Ms. Chau is a partner of Shum & Associates. She graduated from Pace University with a Combined BBA, cum laude and MBA in Public Accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and Notary Public. In addition, she served as a Financial Advisor on the executive board of a local non-profit and taught at several institutions. She has over 15 years of experience, predominately servicing small to medium-sized businesses.
