Integrating with Tax Notebook

Tax Notebook is an online tax organizer that you can customize for your clients' needs. Using Tax Notebook can help your firm eliminate the costs associated with paper tax organizers. It also provides a secure way to transfer data with your clients via the Internet. If your firm licenses this product, you can add a link to Tax Notebook on your website. Adding this link will offer convenience for your clients. It also provides a way for you to present your Web services as an integrated whole.

To add a link to Tax Notebook on your website, do the following:

  1. Log in to your Site Builder account.
  2. Click Modules > Tax Notebook on the toolbar. The Modules - Tax Notebook page displays.
  3. If needed, enter or edit the text in the Display Message box. The text you enter here displays when site visitors hover their pointers over the Tax Notebook banner on your website.
  4. Enter your Tax Notebook account number.
  5. Select Yes for the question Would you like to activate Tax Notebook.
  6. If you want to display a banner for Tax Notebook on your website, select Yes to the question Would you like to display a banner to Tax Notebook on your Home page?

    Note: The banner is a link that your clients can click to access the Tax Notebook login page. Depending on the site style you selected, your banner might not look like the banner style shown in the wizard. Some banners have been specially designed to match the overall look of your site.

  7. Click Accept to save your changes.
  8. Click Preview to see what your site will look like when your changes are applied. The preview opens in a different browser tab or window.
  9. Click Publish to immediately update your website.
  10. Note: Changes you make in Site Builder are not applied to your website until you publish the updates.
