Managing the Industries Page

If your firm specializes in providing services to specific industries, you can highlight this expertise on the Industries page. For your convenience, Site Builder provides a list of industries, along with brief descriptions. You can select industries from this list, or you can add custom industries.

Note: The Industries page is not included on your site by default. Use the Edit Pages section to add the page to your site and modify the introductory text. Once you have completed these steps, use the procedure below to add industries to your site.

To select industries to display on your site, do the following:

  1. Log in to your Site Builder account.
  2. Click Firm Info > Industries on the toolbar.

    3. A list of industries displays on the Firm Info - Industries page. If you previously selected industries for your website, the selected industries display in a list at the top of the page. Other industries that can be added display in the Add an Industry section.

  3. Do any of the following as needed to change the industries listed on your site:

    1. To include an industry listed in the Add an Industry section, click the add buttonClosed for that industry. To add a custom industry, click Add Custom Industry.
    2. Enter or edit the name and description of the industry as needed.
    3. Format the description as needed. See Formatting Text for information about the formatting tools that are available.
    4. Click Accept.

    ClosedDelete an industry from your site.

    1. Click the delete buttonClosed next to the industry you want to delete.
    2. Click OK . Any industries that were from the standard list of industries provided with Site Builder are restored to the Add an Industry list. Custom industries are deleted.

    ClosedReorder the industries on your site.

    You can do any of the following to change the order of industries:

    • Click the Sort buttonClosed to alphabetize the industries.
    • Click the up arrowClosed to move an industry higher in the list.
    • Click the down arrowClosed to move an industry lower in the list.
  4. Click Preview to see what your site will look like when your changes are applied. The preview opens in a different browser tab or window.

    5. Note: If you do not see the Industries page in the preview, verify that the Industries page is included in your site design. See Managing the Structure of Your Site for more information.

  5. Click Publish to immediately update your website, or click Next to continue to the next page.

    Note: Changes you make in Site Builder are not applied to your Web site until you publish the updates.
